DAY 14: I’m SO bummed the tone up, slim down, feel great 14 day challenge has come to an end! What an awesome experience inside n’ out. Thank you so much Gabby!! You are truly an inspiration.
I remember in College I saw a nike poster of you on the wall with captions ” Just do it.”. Well group… WE DID IT!!! : )
Yes, it was so fun meeting you all, and really fun knowing that we can be anywhere in world and still have a connection! Is that awesome or what?!
I have really enjoyed the weight and ab routines! I am a marathon runner, but only recently realized how badly I need to build muscle. These were challenging in a way that inspired me rather than turning me off.
I love the overall attitude that you bring to fitness as it is what I try to share with the 10,000 readers on my blog…it is fun…it can make you happy! Thanks again
A rest day, I can do that! I might take the dogs and my daughter for a little walk today. It looks like a beautiful morning!
I started going to my farmers market last fall. My daughter (almost three) loves walking around and looking at all the colorful veggies, fruits, and her favorite… flowers! I don’t know why I never went before that!
Thanks for offering the challenge! I know it must be a ton of work to put everything together. I do appreciate it! With your website, I have the tools and resources to continue working out in various ways and eat clean. I tell everyone about it.
Have a great Sunday everyone!
There is an article in the Los Angeles Times today about urban gardeners in San Francisco, who can now grow gardens on vacant lots up to 3/4 acres without permits, and they can sell their veges, etc.
That’s interesting. It sounds like a great idea!
Bummer, this is over! I am going to do a Redo, two more weeks until school starts, which means I go back to work. So it I redo this Challenge upping the weights and setting a goal to focus on cleaning up my eating a bit more, then maybe I can have some good habits to go into this school year with. I truly appreciate this website and am praying about attracting some fellow teachers to form a group with me.
We do not have a farmer’s market, but we do have a once a week organic produce delivery to our local health food store and I am going to find out more details on how to participate.
You are very motivating Gabby and someday I hope to meet you, it is a small world and you make us all feel connected through your webpage. Thank you!
I think one of the most important things is learning how to pack a days worth of food. I eat breakfast, snack, lunch and second snack away from home, and sometimes I feel like a donkey carrying all the stuff in.Secondly, I think you have to have a plan of what exercise you are going to do that day and do it..no excuses..good luck Ruth and ALL!
Ya know, when I was doing something difficult and the 60 seconds was dragging by I would think “am I ever going to make it?” then I would think “Its only 14 days. I can do anything for 14 days” But Its not just for 14 days. It is for a lifetime! You made it fun and interesting. It has been fun reading everyones comments. That was a help for me. We encouraged each other. We were a great team.
My husband and I love farmers markets. We go often. Love to fill the fridge with fresh close to home produce. Yum! I just don’t grow enough in my little garden to feed us. I would like to some day.
I can’t think of any changes to be made. You helped us one day at a time. Made it doable. I can’t wait for the next challange. I am so glad I found this site.!!
Thank you for your time and effort for putting this challange on. I loved it.!!
There are a few farmers markets around me and I never go, well I’m going today and I can’t wait!
I think the challenges were all awesome. I will be continuing and may also do another two weeks Our farmers markets are sporadic but I love to go when I can. You have inspired me since I first found your website over four years ago and have used the 360 workouts. Keep up the variety. It makes it so much fun and interesting. I love the healthy food part. I can workout but I am not always a healthy eater and your ideas and recipes are fantastic. Until this challenge, I had never purchased Almond milk! I love it…both the chocolate and the vanilla but especially the vanilla. Thank you for spending so much of your time to support all of us. I will continue to refer friends to you! And to these incredible exercises and challenges.
Hi Gabrielle,
I’ve finally looked you up after seeing you a couple years back speaking on a morning show about a blog site called Honeybees, I think. It did not come up on my search so Im not sure if it is still in existence. It was a group of woman sharing on all topics of womanhood, I think, and it sounded awesome. If it does still exist I would love to know the site address. Your Gabby 360 looks awesome as well. I printed up your pool exercises and cant wait to try them as well as the fins and kick board work out! I have twin daughter’s and try and stay fit. Work outs, however, can become quite mundane if you don’t switch things up a bit so thanks for such a motivational hub! Glad to have found your site. Best wishes, Dawn
thank you Gabby, those were some great workouts and recipes and ideas. I’ll be back for more
Thank you Gabby. I’ve been a big fan of your challenges and what knowledge they bring to me. I struggle with them, but I am learning through the struggle. This second week of the challenge has been really tough for me. But, I still ended up losing 1/2 pound. Maybe because I am making better choices when I can… especially when it comes to drinking. My family and I have been drinking so much more water and my body is really like it. Kinda surprises me for some reason. This upcoming week I will be working on the challenge again… my body was doing well with it and I wasn’t usually hungry like other things I’ve tried.
So, again, thank you.
I really enjoyed this challenge. I will do it again, and work on eating a little better. Thanks for the great workouts. It is so nice to have something to follow and to be able to look at the other comments for moral support. Good job all….
WOW, Awesome Challenge, and HUGE thanks to Gabby and Team Gabby, wow that was an incredible amount of behind- the- scenes work and it went off without a hitch.
I think the most incredible part of the challenge was the advanced level of workouts, yet do-able even for beginners -with adjustments.
The food was beyond outstanding, yet realistic and do-able (although the photos were so awesome it increased my appetite and made me want a chef)…
I did a killer all body circuit this morning with warm up, and after workout stretches.
Helped a lady in the workout room. She was using the stationary bike and it wasn’t even “on”..we laughed really hard..I told her to push “quick start” and she said ” I don’t want to go Quick”…(this was said in a thick Greek accent)..
I warmed up in the sauna, then did 12 exercises 3 times each for one minute each time. I am still taking too long between moving on to the next exercise so want to improve that. Used from 2 pound cables to 55 pound barbell for my workout.
Later on I am going for a walk/jog for about an hour up and down rolling hills.
I bought cherry tomatoes, salmon, chicken, and bananas today. I ate a protein powder, cacoa, almond milk shake before my workout, and whole thick cooked oats, protein powder, almond butter for after workout. Now, I am going to eat again, then a snack and dinner.
Good luck ALL, will miss you!
Thank you so much Gabby for taking the time to make the 14 day summer workout challenge! It must have been a ton of work for you and I totally appreciate it.
I followed along, and so did my family (husband, daughters 23 and 16) even though they weren’t aware of my motives. We went for evening walks, hikes, and biked new trails we’ve never been on before. I got “OUT OF THE GYM!” I loved it that you posted the next day’s challenge the night before. That was really helpful. I also agreed with, and am grateful of your short, to the point motivational words at the end of every workout. They helped me stay focused and on track. I remembered them throughout the day. My favorite part of the challenge was that you incorporated things like donating unused items to people who need them, and going to farmers markets. It made the challenge rounded. I always love your recipes too: fast, healthy, and delicious. Thanks again, you definitely have change my life.
Best,
Erin
