So many people think of eating healthy as just counting calories and fat. It’s mainly about eating food that is good for you versus food that is not. It’s as simple as that!
It can be difficult to figure out the best way to eat. It takes time and education just like everything else. Use your common sense and just try day by day to explore other ways of eating.
Breakfast is an important meal of the day so your choices will either get you off to the right start or the wrong start AND set your tone for the entire day-so choose wisely!

Remember:
*Choosing foods closest to its original, natural state is always best.
*All fats are not the enemy, saturated fat can be though (I love it when I hear ‘oh avocados are fattening’ but cooking eggs in lard is OK?).
*Have an open mind when it comes to trying new things.
*Try not to skip breakfast.

Take a look at 3 breakfast options we think are healthy and a couple that we think are not…

The first 4 out of 5 ingredients are definitely ones we stay away from everyday and they are the first listed. Enough said.

Fruit Loops Ingredients
Sugar, whole grain corn flour, wheat flour, whole grain oat flour, oat fiber, soluble corn fiber, contains 2% or less of partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (coconut, soybean and/or cottonseed), salt, red 40, natural flavor, blue 2, turmeric color, yellow 6, annatto color, blue 1, BHT for freshness.
The first ingredient is sugar. In case you are unaware the first ingredient listed is used the most!

Good Luck and choose wisely!

Great ideas! I love almond butter on whole wheat or Ezekiel bread. Great for when you have to dash out the door!
